Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking a Security Dispatcher to operate the daily security dispatch center, monitor CCTV, and coordinate responses to incidents to safeguard patients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of dispatch/security experience, and strong customer service and written communication skills. You will interact with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and families, and enforce after-hours visitation protocols.

Responsibilities

Daily operation of Security Dispatch (communication center). Effective pro-active monitoring of CCTV systems. Answers all 3911 emergency calls. Screening of after hour visitors using Star system to verify patient information. Required to communicate with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

High school graduate or GED

Minimum Experience Required

Two (2) years of experience in the field as a 911 operator or as a Security/Police Dispatcher, or related law enforcement or security experience.

Additional Qualifications

Must possess excellent public relations/customer service skills and able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Must possess multi-tasking ability.
