Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Security Dispatch Operator to manage the daily operations of its emergency communications center. You will monitor CCTV, answer 3911 calls, and screen visitors after hours to verify patient information and ensure safety.

This role requires strong public relations and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and coordinate with staff, physicians and families to support exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as a 911 operator or Security/Police Dispatcher or related security experience.
• No licensure required by law.
• Must have excellent public relations and customer service skills and be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

Daily operation of Security Dispatch (communication center). Effective pro-active monitoring of CCTV systems. Answers all 3911 emergency calls. Screening of after hour visitors using Star system to verify patient information. Required to communicate with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of experience in the field as a 911 operator or as a Security/Police Dispatcher, or related law enforcement or security experience.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent public relations/customer service skills and able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Must possess multi-tasking ability.
