Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Security Dispatch Operator to manage the daily operation of the 911/dispatch center, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and respond to emergencies. You will communicate with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and families, prioritizing requests and ensuring rapid, accurate information flow.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of dispatch experience, and strong public relations and written/verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a 911 operator or Security/Police Dispatcher, or related security experience.
• Must possess excellent public relations/customer service skills and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Daily operation of Security Dispatch (communication center). Effective pro-active monitoring of CCTV systems. Answers all 3911 emergency calls. Screening of after hour visitors using Star system to verify patient information. Required to communicate with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.What you will do

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of experience in the field as a 911 operator or as a Security/Police Dispatcher, or related law enforcement or security experience.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
