Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Security Dispatcher to manage daily security operations at our Augusta campus. You will coordinate dispatches, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and respond to 3911 emergency calls to ensure patient and staff safety.

Ideal candidates bring strong public relations and customer service skills, plus the ability to multitask and communicate clearly in writing and speech. This is a full-time role based on-site at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience as a 911 operator or Security/Police Dispatcher or related security experience.
• Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Daily operation of Security Dispatch (communication center). Effective pro-active monitoring of CCTV systems. Answers all 3911 emergency calls. Screening of after hour visitors using Star system to verify patient information. Required to communicate with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

High school graduate or GED

Minimum Experience Required

Two (2) years of experience in the field as a 911 operator or as a Security/Police Dispatcher, or related law enforcement or security experience.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law

None.

Additional Qualifications

Must possess excellent public relations/customer service skills and able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Must possess multi-tasking ability.
