Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks a Security Officer Dispatch Communications Specialist in Newark, DE to coordinate security-related communications at a financial institution location. You will monitor systems, dispatch personnel, and maintain logs with professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor communications systems, receive calls and requests for assistance, and dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, alarms, service requests, and security-related activities in logs/reports.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with onsite personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access-control, alarm, and video systems and report unusual activity.
