Job summary

Securitas Security is seeking a Security Control Room Officer in Hillsboro, OR. This full-time role pays $22.00 per hour and involves monitoring, access control, and responding to incidents at the client site.

Responsibilities include patrols, reporting, and coordination with client staff. A drug screen and background check are required; 18+ years old with a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum one of: High School Diploma or GED or willingness to obtain GED within 6 months.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in varied situations.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises in various conditions.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports of incidents and observations.
• Interact regularly with client employees and guests.
• Work in a team to meet site and organizational goals.
• Carry out tasks related to the assigned site as needed.

1) Saturday - Tuesday 10pm-6am

2) Saturday - Wednesday 6am-2pm

3) Day/Swing Shift Flex

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
