Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Security Consulting Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This remote role will focus on guiding enterprise customers through complex security engagements, from solution design and validation to deployment and ongoing optimization. The engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping clients strengthen their security posture while aligning architectural decisions with business and operational needs. Close collaboration with internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders will be essential to deliver effective outcomes and maximize value from deployed solutions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $132,800 – $185,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and report on security services engagements with key customers
• Deliver security solutions independently and through a team of engineers
• Design, document, validate, pilot, deploy, and automate security solutions
• Provide ongoing support to maximize customer value from deployed solutions
• Offer deep technical expertise on security technologies and communicate architectural context
• Evaluate and present alternative designs to influence outcomes effectively
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and security issues for customers
• Support collaboration within the security practice and with other internal groups

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT consulting, and systems integration with large enterprises
• Expertise in enterprise firewall technologies and deployments
• Proficient in VPN technologies, including secure remote access client products
• Experience with secure access, SASE solutions, and related networking security tools
• Solid knowledge of identity and access control technologies, with hands-on experience preferred
• Ability to deliver automation artifacts using common frameworks and APIs
• Strong understanding of secure design principles and TCP/IP protocols
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and CCNP Security certification
