Position Summary
The New Museum is seeking a highly professional and customer-focused Security Console Operator to support the safety, security, and daily operations of the museum. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for visitors, staff, collections, and property.
The Security Console Operator is responsible for monitoring security, fire, and life-safety systems; managing access control; coordinating emergency communications; documenting incidents; and supporting security operations through continuous surveillance and effective communication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in both routine and emergency situations.
