Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer to join our diverse Systems Engineering team in multiple locations. You will contribute as an individual contributor within a multi-disciplinary engineering group, driving requirements and interface definitions across IPTs.

The role requires deep technical proficiency in STEM, active clearance, and experience with military aircraft or weapon systems.

Qualifications

Bachelors in a STEM field with 2+ years relevant experience, or Masters with related experience.
Active US Government Secret or higher clearance required; Continuous Evaluation eligibility.
Experience with military aircraft or weapon system design/operation.
Experience interpreting, deriving, allocating, or managing technical requirements; DOORS experience.

Responsibilities

Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.
Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts following proper configuration management procedures.
Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of Systems Engineering artifacts.
Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent communications across IPTs and with external customers.
Synthesize data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
