Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Rancho Bernardo team. You will work with customers to define system requirements and verification plans across aircraft, UAVs, and related ground segments.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree with relevant experience, active Secret or higher clearance, and strong leadership for lifecycle integration and milestone reviews. Compensation reflects market ranges and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have a STEM degree with applicable military/professional experience.
• Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance required.
• Experience with end-to-end system integration and verification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to define requirements, design, risks, and limitations.
• Maintain the technical baseline and ensure a cohesive system solution.
• Support development and validation of system-level models for concept, design, and verification.
• Lead a project team toward established milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare and deliver status for reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, FCA).
• Communicate end-user needs and capabilities effectively to stakeholders.
