Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Storage and Data Protection System Administrator in Woburn, MA to support classified programs. You will define, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient storage environments across multiple programs with NAS, tape libraries, and backup applications.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to travel. On-site at our Woburn facilities, relocation support is available per policy.

Qualifications

• > Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• > Experience working with a data storage vendor
• > Experience with NAS storage environments, tape library systems, Cohesity/Veritas, CommVault, and VEEAM backup applications
• > Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance prior to starting; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Define computing requirements with partners based on architectural solutions and storage vendors
• Design end-to-end solutions for program requirements involving hardware and OS technologies
• Collaborate with programs, network engineering, and HPC teams to solve complex infrastructure problems
• Ensure reliability and performance via monitoring and management
• Provide 24x7 operational support as needed
• Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation
