Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Boulder, CO seeks a Software Engineer – Level 2/3 (Systems Admin/Lab Manager) to manage IT infrastructure, ensure security compliance, and drive secure onboarding of hardware and software.

On-site role with 10% travel; requires Secret clearance and Security+ certification. The team works in distributed missile tracking capabilities; the role includes Linux administration, lab management, and collaboration with supply chain and security teams to maintain policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience for Level 2, or Master’s with 0-2 years.
• For Level 3, Bachelor’s with 5 years of related experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance is required at start, with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Current CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a lab of hardware and software.
• Move software/hardware through secure environments via boarding process to closure.
• OS account management.
• Virtual lab management (vLab/vDC).
• Monitor and review systems.
• Firmware upgrades and cybersecurity awareness.
• Work in Linux/Red Hat 9 environments.
• Coordinate with supply chain, facilities and security on compliant hardware/software.
