Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Boulder, CO is seeking a Software Engineer – Level 2/3 (Systems Admin/Lab Manager) to manage the IT infrastructure and ensure security policy compliance in a distributed lab environment.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of related experience or equivalent, active Secret clearance, and familiarity with Linux, containers, CI/CD (Gitlab/Jenkins), and security standards (NIST SP 800-53, STIGs). On-site work with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with related experience, or Master’s with lesser experience.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance at start is required.
• Experience with Linux/Red Hat, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and security basics.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT infrastructure in a lab, ensuring policy compliance and auditing.
• Liaise with supply chain, facilities, and security for compliant hardware.
• Operate and secure Linux environments, firmware upgrades, and cyber hygiene.
• Drive secure onboarding of hardware/software through boarding processes.
