Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is offering a Manufacturing Engineer intern role onsite. You will collaborate with production floor teams to drive process improvements and implement integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment.

You will analyze layouts, assist in design and control of manufacturing processes, and participate in all life-cycle phases from concept to production support. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance may be required after day one.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related STEM.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with AutoCAD or CAD programs and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Directly work with manufacturing floor employees to solve day-to-day issues and long-term projects.
• Analyze layouts, flow, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying devices and systems.
• Design, control and improve manufacturing processes in collaboration with the value stream team.
• Participate in all phases of product life cycle and advanced manufacturing initiatives.
