Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for an onsite role in Largo, FL. You will join an Integrated Program Team with systems, hardware and software engineers, contributing to next-generation products and production transitions.

Responsibilities include 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Creo, Catia, NX, AutoCAD, Fusion 360), electronics packaging, thermal/structural analysis, drawings, procurement support, and test activities. A DoD Secret clearance is required and US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree with interest in hardware development.
• Experience with CAD tools and mechanical design principles.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• 3D CAD modelling of components and assemblies.
• Electronics packaging selection and evaluation.
• Thermal and structural analysis of designs.
• Detailed design and documentation of components.
• Generation and update of drawings and documentation.
• Procurement and production support activities.
• Test and evaluation of hardware prototypes.
