Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Capital Equipment & Factory Transition Lead in McKinney, TX. You will serve as the primary engineering lead for factory transitions, guiding capital equipment selection and validation as production capabilities are established.

You will identify risks, coordinate with facilities and cross-functional teams, and drive readiness from installation through production startup to ensure a smooth transition to new or updated manufacturing spaces.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing equipment down‑selection and coordinating factory readiness.
• Collaborates with facilities, construction contractors and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital equipment selection aligned to capability and schedule.
• Partner with supply chain for sourcing, procurement and vendor engagement.
• Coordinate equipment testing, lift‑and‑shift prep, and space readiness.
• Support equipment installation, facilities interfaces, and acceptance testing.
• Oversee equipment setup, verify process capability, and cross‑functional approvals.
• Lead product validation to enable manufacturing documentation release.
• Support factory floor setup and readiness for production start.
