Job summary

The Intrepid Group is seeking a Food Services General Manager to oversee daily operations for food service programs in a secure intelligence community environment. You will lead a professional team, manage budgets, ensure food safety, and maintain high service standards to support mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field; extensive professional experience may replace degree.
• Minimum five years in food service management or related fields.
• Demonstrated supervision, operations, cost control, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily food service operations including preparation, service, catering and events.
• Coordinate with site leadership, government representatives, vendors, and stakeholders to meet needs.
• Develop and manage annual operating budget, track expenses, and prepare reports for leadership.
• Monitor customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Prepare for health inspections, audits, and contract compliance reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure training in food safety, workplace safety, and security; maintain training records.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for food handling, cash handling, and daily operations.
• Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and labor costs within budget.
• Oversee receiving, storage, and rotation of food to reduce waste and maintain freshness.
• Plan and execute catering and special events for mission and leadership needs.
• Develop contingency plans to maintain operations during emergencies or disruptions.
