Job summary

Raytheon Goleta, CA is seeking an experienced Software Engineer II to join the EW software team, focusing on real-time embedded systems. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, applying agile practices to design, test, and integrate complex software and hardware solutions.

The role emphasizes architecture, FPGA interfaces, and simulations, with frequent lab testing and interaction across hardware and software teams. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience in software design, integration and test using C/C++.
• Experience in firmware/product development.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Work in cross-disciplinary, agile product teams to plan, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems.
• Architect and implement new products, perform simulations and lab tests, and drive integration.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers; produce planning and technical work products.
• Develop software requirements and FPGA interface requirements from system-level specs; run simulations and lab testing.
• Operate in an advanced product development environment with multiple engineering disciplines; occasional travel.
