Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safe and Secure Associate in Buffalo, NY to protect people, assets and operations at our facility. You will be the face of Carvana at gates, ensure proper security protocols, and support inventory control procedures in a fast-paced environment.

If you thrive in a hands-on security role, you will train on first aid, CPR, AED and work with the Safe and Secure team to respond to incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and uphold Carvana values every day.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of strong decision-making in a complex environment.
• Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates.
• You will be the face of Carvana to associates, vendors, and anyone visiting a site.
• Lead with effective communication with team, partners, and customers. Ensure you are a strong active listener and are incorporating effective dialogue.
• Conduct routine patrols of the Inspection Center and Logistics facility yard and buildings - documenting any security and/or safety concerns.
• Become trained on life saving measures such as first aid, CPR, and AED.
• Partner with Safe and Secure Team Lead and Safety Manager to remedy requests (badge creation, CCTV review).
• Promote an incident ready focus everyday at your site and follow Incident Response Protocol.
• De-escalate situations while upholding Carvana values.
• Execute the facility Safe and Secure Principles at entrances/exits.
• Utilize Safe and Secure Application (SAS App) and RFID Technology.
• Deliver a service first approach in everything you do.
• Make a difference by exemplifying Carvana values.
