Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Director of Security Architecture to lead the security architecture strategy, governance, and design practices across the organization. This role reports to the VP of Information Security & Risk and ensures security requirements are integrated from inception through deployment.

You will guide architecture reviews, establish design principles, and optimize tooling to support scalable, risk-aware technology solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, security architecture, or information security
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading architecture reviews and guiding secure solution development

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise security architecture strategy aligned with cybersecurity and business objectives
• Govern security architecture standards, control requirements, and implementation guidelines
• Oversee architecture reviews to ensure risk requirements and enterprise architecture alignment
• Provide proactive security guidance during solution design and development
• Drive tooling strategy to improve security architecture and enable scalable solutions
• Define reference architectures and reusable security design patterns
• Map current and target security capabilities to business priorities and investments
• Engage stakeholders across enterprise architecture, IT, engineering, risk, and compliance
