Cardinal Health in the United States is seeking a Director of Security Architecture to lead the security architecture strategy, standards, and design practices across the organization. This role partners with executive leadership to align security goals with business priorities and enterprise risk management.

You will own governance, reviews, and tooling optimization, embedding security into the development lifecycle and guiding technology investments to ensure scalable, resilient, and compliant

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, security architecture, or information security.
• Deep expertise in security architecture frameworks and secure design.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and setting standards.
• Leads architecture reviews across teams and governs standards.
• Experience with cloud security architecture and DevSecOps.
• Leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence.
• Experience in highly regulated industries.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or TOGAF.
• Advanced degree preferred (MBA/MS).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to managers and experienced staff; may manage front line supervisors.
• Manages an organizational budget.
• Develops policies to achieve organizational goals.
• Leads architecture reviews and strategy alignment.
• Partner with BISOs and business stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity into initiatives.
• Drive secure-by-design practices across development and engineering teams.
