Job summary

The Grandview by Erickson Senior Living in Bethesda, MD, is hiring a Security and Emergency Services Officer I or II (EMR/EMT preferred). You will patrol the property, respond to emergencies, enforce regulations, and support safety for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies with basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft and vandalism.
• Use local police, fire, and EMS resources during emergencies.
• Complete detailed incident reports using the online system.

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer I or II (SES II EMR/EMT preferred upon hire or course completion within 60 days of employment) In this role you’ll be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician certification.
