Job summary

PNC is seeking a Security Analyst within its Technology organization, based in multiple locations including Denver, CO. The role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events across SIEM, EDR, and related tooling.

You will participate in the ongoing enhancement of the security posture and incident response processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with security operations, alert tuning, and vulnerability management, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating and responding to security alerts from SIEM and security tooling.
• Ability to tune SIEM events to reduce false positives and improve detections.
• Experience extracting indicators of compromise (IOCs) and implementing mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, respond to, and mitigate alerts from SIEM and security product suite.
• Tune SIEM events to reduce false positives and improve detections.
• Assist with IOC extraction and implementation of mitigations (Sandboxing).
• Provide operational support as a security team representative and advise on security controls.
