Job summary

PNC is seeking a Security Specialist to join its Technology organization. The role supports monitoring, analysis, and response for cyber security events across locations including Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Denver, Phoenix, and Birmingham.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in information security, a Bachelor's degree, and strong SIEM/IDS/IPS experience. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm EST shift; PNC emphasizes an in-office culture and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a security role.
• Experience with security monitoring, incident handling, and risk mitigation is required.
• Bachelor's degree and relevant certifications are preferred; alternative combos may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical evaluation and analysis in a specific security area to improve posture.
• Applies security concepts, analyzes requirements, reviews logs, and creates documentation.
• Advises on complex security procedures and products for clients and staff; shares knowledge.
• Conducts security assessments and recommends corrective actions per guidelines.
• Develops and enforces policies to standardize security functions and mitigate threats.
