Job summary

PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Security Specialist for Network Detection & Response with locations in Pittsburgh, PA and other major U.S. cities.

The role focuses on evaluating, responding to, and mitigating SIEM alerts, tuning events to reduce false positives, and improving network visibility through practical testing and monitoring. The ideal candidate has expert knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, and intrusion detection systems, supporting security operations and risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM and IDS/IPS technologies is expected.
• Experience with vulnerability management and data protection controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, respond to, and mitigate alerts from SIEM and security product suites.
• Tune SIEM events to reduce false positives and improve visibility.
• Provide operational support as a security function representative across the organization.
• Assist in developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
