Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Security Analyst (Detection and Incident Response) to join our Cyber Defense team. You will analyze threats, triage detections, and coordinate remediation to protect missions and assets.

The role requires a STEM degree or equivalent experience, OS auditing across Linux/Windows/macOS, and experience with SIEMs like Elastic or Splunk. Onsite work is required; travel may be possible. Competitive compensation and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, CS, engineering, IT, or STEM; OR 2+ years of security experience.
• Experience auditing Linux/Windows/macOS.
• Experience with network and host-based collection tools.
• Knowledge of SIEMs and incident response processes.
• Cloud security knowledge and security community contributions.

Responsibilities

• Support the SpaceX SOC as frontline responder by triaging and remediating detections.
• Provide incident response support from initial detection through root cause.
• Assist in evidence collection and collaborate with engineering to secure systems.
• Contribute to detection capabilities targeting attacker TTPs.
• Enhance endpoint and network visibility and response playbooks.
