Job summary

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. at the Cincinnati International Airport in Erlanger, KY, is seeking a Security Agent to safeguard aircraft, passengers and cargo with vigilance and professionalism.

This role requires physical ability to perform inspections, sit/stand for shifts, and work in a cold environment. Applicants must pass FBI fingerprinting and a 10-year background check, have a valid U.S. driver’s license, and meet citizenship requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in cold temperatures.
• Successful completion of FBI fingerprint check and a 10-year background check.
• No FAA Disqualifying Crimes; background check required.
• Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• U.S. Citizenship may be required for some duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items.
• Screen cargo according to customer specifications.
• Monitor aircraft and perform wanding and gate guarding as required.
• Observe premises and report activity to supervision.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

ACTS-Aviation Security Inc. has an immediate opening for a Security Agent at the Cincinnati International Airport in Erlanger, KY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects airline equipment and checks for any unauthorized items.
• Screens cargo using equipment/method designated by customer and according to customer’s specifications.
• Performs aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding and gate guarding according to customer’s specifications.
• Observes and monitors unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection/validation duties.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
• Reports to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on size of unit.
• Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead, depending on size of unit.

Salary Range

$20.00 per hour

Education

• High school diploma or GED

High School or better.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work in cold temperatures, as it is a requirement for this role.
• New employees required to complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a confirmed 10-year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified)
• Not have been convicted of any of the listed FAA Disqualifying Crimes.
• Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• US Citizenship required for certain services.

Communication Skills

• Possess written and oral communication skills in English.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• Candidates will be required to go through pre-employment drug screen, criminal check and/or airport fingerprinting.
