Job summary

Network Cabling Services (NCS) seeks an experienced Security/Access Control Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security systems for commercial, industrial, and data center environments in the Houston area.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low-voltage security infrastructure, along with a valid Texas driver's license and the ability to travel between project sites.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing commercial access control and security systems.
Experience with access control systems, card readers (Proximity, Smart Card, Biometric), electronic door hardware, and locking devices.
Experience with CCTV/IP surveillance camera systems and low-voltage cabling/terminations.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record; ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic access control systems.
Install and configure card readers, biometric readers, keypads, electronic door hardware, and door controllers.
Install, program, and troubleshoot IP and analog CCTV camera systems.
Install and service intrusion alarm systems, motion detectors, door contacts, and related devices.
Configure and troubleshoot network-connected security devices; document configurations accurately.
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation; communicate with project managers and customers.
