Job summary

Idaho Environmental Coalition is seeking a Safety & Security Tech I at the Idaho Falls site. The role provides security controls, badge management, and emergency response support for RWMC/AMWTP facilities with multi-level pay scales and 12-hour shifts.

Salary ranges from $24.88 to $55.69 hourly, with corresponding salary grades and experience requirements. Candidates must be able to obtain a Q clearance and work at INL facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Associate degree plus 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Salary Grade 10 requires Associate degree plus 10 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance.
• Willing to work at INL Site facilities, including 12-hour shifts.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide security access controls and maintain personnel accountability at RWMC.
• Operate and maintain the security electronic access control system including enrollment, badge issuance, maintaining badge inventory, and badge verification.
• Coordinate processing of tours, visitors, and vendors, and assist with obtaining dosimeters as needed.
• Answer phones and conduct radio communications. Provide administrative support for various activities to the S&S & Emergency Management organization.
• Issue temporary badges, including verifying personnel training as necessary, and maintain all facility access logs and badge inventories.
• Maintain checkout keys to all secured areas and maintain all associated key records.
• Immediate response to emergencies and provide support to the emergency response organization.
