Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Associate degree plus 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Salary Grade 10 requires Associate degree plus 10 years relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance.
  • Willing to work at INL Site facilities, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security access controls and maintain personnel accountability at RWMC.
  • Operate and maintain the security electronic access control system including enrollment, badge issuance, maintaining badge inventory, and badge verification.
  • Coordinate processing of tours, visitors, and vendors, and assist with obtaining dosimeters as needed.
  • Answer phones and conduct radio communications. Provide administrative support for various activities to the S&S & Emergency Management organization.
  • Issue temporary badges, including verifying personnel training as necessary, and maintain all facility access logs and badge inventories.
  • Maintain checkout keys to all secured areas and maintain all associated key records.
  • Immediate response to emergencies and provide support to the emergency response organization.

Shift Schedule:Monday – Thursday, 4x10’s with Occasional Overtime Required

Salary Grade: 09 Range:Min $35.55 Mid $45.62 Max $55.69

Position Purpose:

Position provides support to ICP Safeguards and Security (S&S) program as needed to ensure security requirements are met and documentation, facilities, and equipment are maintained. Provide security access controls and maintain accurate accountability of all individuals entering and exiting the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC) Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Facility (AMWTP). Issue/maintain badge inventory and verification of security badges. Maintains security key program and associated documentation. Answer phones and conduct radio communications as required. Responsible for the security coordination of all visits, tours, and vendors. Responsible for maintaining security and emergency management records in accordance with DOE records management requirements. Assists security personnel with special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):

This is a multi-level posting and the successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills. At the Idaho Environmental Coalition, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

Salary Grade 06: Associate degree plus 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.

Salary Grade 10: Associate degree plus 10 years relevant experience or equivalent.

Special Requirements:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance.

- Experience working in security programs is preferred.

- Must be willing and able to work at INL Site facilities, including 12-hour shifts, whenever necessary.

- Must have proficiency with Windows operating systems.
