Job summary

Idaho Environmental Coalition is seeking a Multi-Level Security Specialist – Attractiveness Level Determination in Idaho Falls, ID. The role involves applying scientific engineering solutions to Safeguards & Security for special nuclear materials, including reviewing assay data and inventory reporting.

The successful candidate will possess a BS in CS/Software Eng or related field, and meet experience requirements for the appropriate pay grade. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related Scientific Degree.
Salary Grade 15 requires 2 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
Salary Grade 18 requires 12 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
U.S. citizenship is required for this federal facility position.

Responsibilities

Employ scientific engineering solutions to Safeguards & Security control programs for SNM.
Review assay data to determine attractiveness levels and material quantity.
Ensure SNM is accurately inventoried and reported for shipments, receipts, and removals.
Provide technical interpretation of DOE requirements for Safeguards applications.
Support MC&A qualifications as needed.
