Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a security guard to safeguard company facilities, observe and report on all entrants, and prevent unauthorized access. The role requires logging visit details and maintaining secure premises through routine checks.

The individual must respond promptly to emergencies, document incidents, and enforce site rules while directing traffic and ensuring overall safety of personnel and assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Honest, dedicated and sincere; able to handle conflict.
• Ability to act quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the building is safe and secured from contingencies and violence.
• Observe entrants, deter intruders, and monitor restricted areas.
• Maintain a log with names, visit purpose, and entry/exit times.
• Conduct routine checks inside and outside the building daily.
• Report suspicious activity to police/management immediately.
• Inspect offices and ensure exits, lights, and equipment are secure.
• Respond promptly to alarms and notify relevant departments.
• Make notes of damages or unusual occurrences for records.
• Enforce rules and warn violators of consequences.
• Direct vehicles and ensure safe movement inside the premises.
