Athens Services is seeking a qualified security guard to safeguard facilities in the Los Angeles area. The role emphasizes professional conduct, observation, and proactive reporting to protect people and assets.

Responsibilities include access control, routine patrols, log maintenance, emergency response, and coordination with local authorities when needed. Requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Class C driver's license required.
• Good communication and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergencies and deter threats.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the assigned building is safe and secured.
• Observe enterers and monitor for intruders.
• Prevent entry of unauthorized persons or articles.
• Maintain a log with visitor details and times.
• Conduct routine interior/exterior checks daily.
• Report suspicious activity to police or management.
• Check all offices; ensure exits are closed and lights off.
• Respond to alarms and notify the appropriate department.
• Document damages or unusual occurrences.
• Enforce rules and warn violators of consequences.
• Direct vehicles and ensure security of vehicles on-site.
• In a load fire, operate vehicle to move load to a safe area.
