Job summary

CEdge Inc. at Scott AFB, IL, is seeking a System Administrator to support DoD‑federal client environments (NIPR/SIPR). The role emphasizes secure, scalable operations, high availability, and strict compliance across multiple networks.

Responsibilities include OS patching, infrastructure upgrades, STIG checklists, and documentation of hardware, topology, and databases. You will implement security baselines (NIST/CNSS/DISA STIG) and maintain secure logging and telemetry, using Jira and Confluence

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal or DoD systems and secure operations.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Support the client system and ensure secure, efficient, scalable operations across NIPR and SIPR environments.
• Manage OS patching, infrastructure upgrades, and STIG checklists.
• Maintain architecture documentation: hardware lists, topology diagrams, and DB design documents.
• Implement and maintain security baselines (NIST/CNSS/DISA STIG, USTRANSCOM).
• Ensure data protection compliance and privacy; configure logging and telemetry.
• Use Jira/Confluence for change control, backlog refinement, and workflow alignment.
• Work onsite/client site delivery and pursue Secret clearance readiness.
