Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on system administration or 5+ years with a Bachelor's in CS/ IT
• DoD or regulated environment experience
• VMware or other enterprise virtualization experience
• Windows Server administration with Active Directory & Group Policy
• Knowledge of DoD compliance frameworks, STIGs, RMF
• Security+ (DoD 8570/8140 compliant) and TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (AD, GPO, permissions)
• Manage on-premises Type 1 hypervisors (Nutanix, VMware, Proxmox) for high availability
• Implement DoD security controls and STIG/RMF requirements
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Manage system patching and updates to reduce vulnerabilities
• Administer and maintain backup/recovery technologies and validate restores
• Document system configurations, procedures, and security policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture
• Stay current on DoD compliance requirements and emerging tech
