Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead secure data systems for satellite platforms, owning cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will contribute to architecture, design, analysis, and testing while guiding the program through proposals and funded flight programs.

The role blends hardware, firmware, security, and government capture activities in a hands-on team. This hybrid role requires on-site work in San Jose three days per week, with responsibility across

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional program management for complex technical systems.
• 5+ years hands-on engineering in electrical, embedded, mechanical, or RF areas.
• Experience with space, defense, or aerospace programs handling sensitive data.
• Ownership of hardware development efforts from design reviews to a tested product.
• Experience leading testbeds, HITL, or ground-segment development and verification.
• Understanding of secure communications concepts and related program implications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated master schedule, cost baseline, and risk register for the program.
• Drive design reviews, hardware build, integration, testing, and demonstrations.
• Run weekly cadence, make decisions with limited information, escalate as needed.
• Own security/compliance posture with ITAR/EAR controls and US-only requirements.
• Contribute to architecture, requirements, and test in collaboration with engineers.
• Support active proposals and capture efforts with technical artifacts and costs.
