Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to protect satellites, ground systems, and cloud infrastructure. You will own security posture across aerospace systems and contribute to compliance efforts.

The role supports on-site, hybrid, or remote work from an approved U.S. location, with a focus on designing controls, conducting threat modeling, and leading incident response for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security or security engineering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility; familiarity with satellite communication protocols.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud security, IAM (Okta), SIEM platforms, and compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC).

Responsibilities

• Design cybersecurity controls for satellite software, ground systems, and communication links.
• Conduct threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability management for mission systems.
• Lead incident response including containment, forensic analysis, and post-incident reporting.
