Job summary

Amazon Leo Government seeks an experienced Device Software Development Engineer to design and build embedded software for satellite and ground systems. You will work on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms, integrating data processing, device control, and networking technologies.

Collaboration with hardware and systems teams is essential to deliver secure, high-performance solutions. This role involves mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, and upholding rigorous software quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on new/existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for satellite and ground terminal systems.
• Leverage embedded Linux and RTOS frameworks for scalable, modular software.
• Implement and integrate software for data processing, device control, and networking protocols.
• Debug hardware-software integration issues using analysis tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware-software interaction and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, uphold high software quality standards.
