Job summary

Amazon in Redmond, WA seeks a Software Development Manager for Project Leo to drive roadmap, requirements, and technical design across embedded software. You will partner with customers and partners to refine requirements while hiring and growing the team to deliver value.

You will design mission critical systems, oversee interfaces, and guide engineers through full stack networking across embedded platforms.

Qualifications

3+ years of engineering team management experience.
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
Experience in full stack networking.

Responsibilities

Work with peer teams and customers to design suitable software systems and interfaces.
Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team, both from a software services and organization perspective.
Hire & Develop a diverse team of software engineers.
Aid in the design of mission critical systems in Project Leo.
Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Project Leo
Help on-board and mentor new team members.
