Job summary

TekPro Support Services, LLC (TSS) seeks a meticulous Secondary Screener at the Cheverly Logistics Center in Maryland. This hands-on role screens mail and parcels, performs inspections, and maintains chain-of-custody documentation to ensure secure processing before distribution.

Reports to the Technical Lead – Mail & Secondary Screening/CLC Supervisor; requires TS clearance and strict adherence to procedures. On-site work with comprehensive PPE and safety protocols in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read SOPs and work instructions in detail.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Top Secret security clearance required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary screening of mail and packages per procedures.
• Conduct exterior visual inspections before processing.
• Operate screening equipment after training and qualification.
• Maintain separation of unscreened and screened materials.
• Verify identity, tracking data, recipient, and destination.
• Maintain package accountability throughout screening and processing.
• Complete Pitney Bowes SendPro transactions and custody actions.
• Label and reseal packages after inspection as needed.
• Transfer screened packages to authorized custody points.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace and follow PPE rules.
• Report equipment alarms or abnormal conditions immediately.
• Assist with custody verification and holds documentation.
• Document damaged/missing packages and exceptions.
