Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Transport Officer to securely move detainees between facilities. You will ensure vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with safety standards, while coordinating with supervision to uphold security.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, accurate reporting, and obtaining necessary paperwork for detainee transfers. A valid CDL and ability to travel are required, with comprehensive benefits offered by GEO.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and CDL (B or C) with Passenger endorsement.
• Experience with vehicle inspections and DVIRs is preferred.
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections of all vehicles.
• Maintain accurate DVIRs and report safety defects to supervisor.
• Ensure detainees are secured and paperwork is complete for handoffs.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely, compliant manner.
