Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks a Secure Communications Technician in Albuquerque, NM on the Kirtland AFB C4 Contract. The role installs and maintains secure voice and data networks, handling COMSEC materials and the full lifecycle from programming to destruction.

The candidate will work from customer work orders, coordinate with customers, and maintain accurate device inventories and scheduling for re-keys and upgrades, while adhering to DoD safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a COMSEC CRO/SVRO or equivalent role.
• Knowledge in telecommunications systems and practices.
• Knowledge in networking fundamentals.
• Customer service experience.
• Must meet physical requirements (climbing, standing, lifting).
• Security clearance capabilities and ability to obtain TOP SECRET/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, pickup, loading, storage, and destruction of COMSEC materials.
• Completing daily inventories of all COMSEC material.
• Work is driven by customer submitted work orders.
• Coordinates with customers to ensure services are installed and operational.
• Maintains accurate records of all managed devices and COMSEC materials, and schedules re-keys, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Supports specialized utility programs to collect systems and network data.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and deploy ground level and orbital networks and devices for Command Post.
• Meet with department heads and vendors to resolve problems.
• Review project plans to coordinate activity.
• Follow DoD safety codes and regulations.
