Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with COMSEC security programs.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent DOD Top Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, implement, and perform day-to-day management of the COMSEC program to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for Sandia's mission-critical programs.
• Maintain accurate records of accountable material and oversee the implementation of Federal program requirements.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot encrypting devices in partnership with networking subject matter experts to ensure secure, reliable communication systems.
• Coordinate with designated Federal officials and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance across security programs.
• Manage physical and electronic keying material, communications security accounts, and audit records, and databases.
• Create and update COMSEC databases and ensure compliance with Federal directives.
• Monitor network health, troubleshoot bottlenecks or off-normal behavior, and intervene to restore optimal operation.
• Support security audits and contribute to corrective actions and documentation.
