Job summary

The Housing Authority City of Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated professional to support Section 8 and related housing programs. You will handle contract renewals, verify applicant information, arrange interviews with tenants, and ensure rent compliance and HUD standards are met.

Responsibilities also include processing new tenant contracts, conducting certification sessions, and maintaining agreements between participants, landlords, and the Authority.

Qualifications

• Three years of verifiable paraprofessional experience serving low income, elderly or disabled persons in public housing or related services.
• A Bachelor's degree may substitute for two years of the required experience.
• Ability to verify applications, renewals and rents in accordance with HUD standards.

Responsibilities

• Process yearly contract renewals with accuracy.
• Verify application information for correctness and completeness.
• Arrange tenant interviews and coordinate inspections.
• Verify inspection approvals and determine comparable rents.
• Process new tenant contracts and conduct certification sessions.
• Maintain contracts between participants, landlords and the Authority.
