Job summary

HACLA in Los Angeles is seeking a qualified individual to support the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment Program and related housing programs under supervision of the Section 8 Manager. The role includes processing contract renewals, verifying applications, arranging tenant interviews, and certifying rents to ensure HUD compliance.

The position requires at least three years of paraprofessional experience serving low income or disabled residents in public housing, with a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

Three years of verifiable paraprofessional experience serving low income, elderly, or handicapped/disabled persons in public housing or related services.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Psychology, or Sociology may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

Process yearly contract renewals.
Verify application accuracy.
Arrange for interviews with tenants.
Verify inspection approval and comparable rents.
Process new tenant contracts.
Conduct certification sessions.
Maintain contract between participants, landlords, and the Authority.
Performs other essential job-related duties as required.
