Job summary

Arrow Security is seeking Security Officers with an S95 Fire Guard Certification for overnight shifts in Manhattan, NY. The role requires diligent monitoring of fire alarm panels, precise logging, and coordination with FDNY during alarms and evacuations.

Ideal candidates hold a NYS Security Guard license (non-expiring soon) and a valid S95 Fireguard certification, with comfort walking the building and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• NYS Security Guard License valid for at least 2 months beyond start date.
• S95 Fireguard Certification valid for at least 2 months beyond start date.
• Comfortable walking around a building.
• Customer friendly and service-oriented.
• Experience inspecting fire alarm control panels.
• Experience with site evacuations and liaising with the fire department.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Fire Alarm Control Panel and interpret signals.
• Document daily inspections and alarm activations with precision.
• Inspect devices and extinguishers to ensure operability.
• Serve as primary contact for FDNY during alarms and execute evacuations when authorized.

Arrow Security is looking for a Security Officers with an S95 Fire Guard Certification in Manhattan, NY, for OVERNIGHT SHIFTS!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor the Fire Alarm Control Panel at a stationary or active post, properly interpreting alarm, trouble, and supervisory signals.
• Document all daily inspections, routine tests, system impairments, and alarm activations with 100% precision in the mandated fire safety logbook.
• Inspect fire alarm initiating devices, pull stations, and portable fire extinguishers daily to ensure they are fully visible, unobstructed, and operational.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the FDNY during an alarm event, executing site evacuation protocols and system resets only when authorized

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

• Saturday & Sunday: 12am - 8am
• FLEX 12am - 8am

REQUIREMENTS:

• NYS Security Guard License (CANNOT expire within the next 2 mhs)
• S95 Fireguard Certification (CANNOT expire within the next 2 mths)
• Comfortable being walking around a building
• Customer friendly
• Experience inspecting fire alarm control panels
