The candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication, and a polished appearance appropriate for a residential-influenced office setting, with overnight scheduling and a mixed full-time/part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate.
• 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate.
• Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for residents, guests, and vendors.
• Monitor building access points and maintain awareness of building activity.
• Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas of the building.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and building security systems.
• Respond to emergencies and security concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports.
• Assist with package handling and vendor deliveries when required.
• Maintain control and documentation of building and concierge keys.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
• Coordinate with building management and property staff to support daily operations.
• Enforce building policies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
• Maintain clear communication during shift transitions to ensure operational continuity.
