Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is seeking professional Security Guards with at least 2 years of security experience to perform access control duties at sites in Long Island City, Queens, NY.

The role includes customer service, incident reporting, and responsive action to emergencies while protecting client and company assets. Qualified candidates must hold a NYS Security Guard License and NYC Fireguard S-95 certification (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience.
• New York State Security Guard License.
• NYC Fireguard S-95 Certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR & First Aid.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English.
• Strong smartphone & tablet operating skills.
• 18 years old (or the minimum age required by State).
• Authorized to legally work in the United States.
• Pass a drug test with negative results and extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment and education verification, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable.
• If prior military, must be able to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, upon job offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control indoors and outdoors.
• Provide customer service while assisting clients, customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages and/or activities.
• Immediate response and assist to emergencies to provide necessary support and contact emergency services when necessary.
• Patrol site.
• Write incident reports and log book entries.
• Protect the client’s and company’s assets from theft, assault, fire or other safety issues.
• Ability to work independently and with other team members.

Pay Rate: Competitive Pay-Rate starting $18.00/hr with benefits

Shift Available:

• Full-Time, Morning Shift: Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM
• Full-Time, Sunday-Wednesday 3-11PM & Saturday 7AM-3PM
• Part-Time, Overnight Shift: Friday & Saturday, 11PM-7AM

Expected duties may include but are not limited to:
