Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer Fire Guard at our front desk in Flushing, Queens.

This role offers both Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities with an $18.00/hour pay rate and benefits. Responsibilities include maintaining professionalism, monitoring CCTV and fire alarm panel, delivering customer service, reporting suspicious activity, assisting visitors, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English
• Authorized to legally work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Monitor CCTV
• Monitor fire alarm panel
• Provide JSB standard customer service while assisting clients, customers, employees, visitors, and guests
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, and/or activities
• Maintain presence in lobby and assist visitors
• Respond immediately to emergencies, provide necessary support, and contact emergency services when necessary
• Patrol site
• Write incident reports and log book entries
• Protect the client’s and company’s assets from theft, assault, fire, or other safety issues
• Work independently and with other team members

Security Officer Fire Guard Front Desk

Location: Flushing, Queens
Work Type: Full-Time, Part-Time Employment Opportunity Available
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour with Benefits
Experience Level Requirement: 2 years security experience

Shifts: Part-Time, Morning Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 8 AM-4 PM

Expected duties may include but are not limited to

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Monitor CCTV
• Monitor fire alarm panel
• Provide JSB standard customer service while assisting clients, customers, employees, visitors, and guests
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, and/or activities
• Maintain presence in lobby and assist visitors
• Respond immediately to emergencies, provide necessary support, and contact emergency services when necessary
• Patrol site
• Write incident reports and log book entries
• Protect the client’s and company’s assets from theft, assault, fire, or other safety issues

Requirements:

• 2 years security experience
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• Fireguard S95 Certification or willingness to obtain
• CPR & First Aid
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Flexible work schedule
• Must be able to work weekends
• Strong and consistent work ethic
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English
• Strong smartphone & tablet operating skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• 18 years old (or minimum age required by State)
• Authorized to legally work in the United States
• Pass a drug test with negative results
• Pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment and education verification, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable
• If prior military, must be able to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated upon job offer
