Job summary

Alliance Building Services in New York City is seeking a part-time Security Officer to maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, assist guests, and respond to incidents.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience, a valid NYS Security Guard License, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year Security Officer experience – preferably in a commercial environment
Valid NYS Security Guard License that will not expire for at least 3 months
Valid F01/F03/F04, and CPR Certification a strong plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively
Demonstrate customer service skills, including the ability to professionally handle difficult situations
Familiarity with security systems, such as surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems
Excellent observation and problem-solving abilities to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action
Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, as well as lift and carry heavy objects when required
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility towards ensuring the safety and well‑being of guests and staff
High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training in security or guest services will be an advantage

Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other security personnel as needed.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
